Pastsor
Jim Shepherd
I answered God's call to ministry as a college freshman on September 20, 1971 and I have been active in ministry ever since. I have pastored churches in Texas, Missouri, and Oklahoma, and I was the Vice President of Student Affairs (1983-1986) and President (1989-1997) of Randall University in Moore, Oklahoma. After serving as pastor of Goodrich Memorial United Methodist Church in Norman, Oklahoma for ten years, I was appointed to serve Sulphur and the Sulphur United Methodist Church in June 2017.
April and I have a blended family of three daughters, two sons, eleven grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. We love hiking, fishing, kayaking, and biking. I love writing and you can follow my weekly column, Reflections, in the Sulphur Times-Democrat.
